As a first entry into the world of the blog.... My intention is to reach out to others in there art studios and share- like I experianced at the Academy. Artists can inspire each other by knowing that they are not struggling alone- community.

So my day today.

I researched and submitted my website to a greeting card company.

Projects in my studio at this date:

Easel 30 " x 40" oil painting abstract lovers as shapes and shadows-working out more images from movies stills that I took when watching a video with great shadows.

Charcoal drawing of a Manta Ray that was about 6 feet in width that flew out in front of me when kayaking in Johns pass- charcoal drawing from memory and have done picture research of rays, ready for a paper oil sketch- maybe something new-- pastel and watercolor like I saw on Diana Lears site today.

List of greeting cards that the local tourist market will take, about 50 photographs to choose from. Screens stretched and ready for a print- small size for greeting cards- I may make them on site as a "street artist"

Skull of a goat that was washed up on Rum beach my friend lent me. It is set up with great still life/light that needs a charcoal drawing done from it and then think if it possibly can be incorporated into the Venice Dog painting.
Pastels of sharks that are screaming "frame us before we are smugged".

seascape pastels made into small 8x10 oils from life aboard the sailboat- more oils. Screens streched ready for a print- greeting card I may do as a street artist.
